The summary of the book does a great job at letting you know what the book is about. The book opens with just that. Samson is a millionaire bachelor and no matter who he tries to sleep with he can't get it up...an erection that is.  That is until Delilah is attacked leaving work and she runs up to his door for help. When she falls into him as he opens the door his problem is fixed. When Samson's friend Amaury recommends a shrink, he goes to see him, and at his surprise the doctor tells him to sleep with the human girl Delilah one time to fix his issue for good.  Only they end up really connecting and start to fall for each other. Samson finds himself having odd feelings of jealousy, protectiveness, and love. However, Delilah doesn't know that Samson is a vampire or that he owns the company that she is currently working for.  Delilah is a free-lance auditor who is hired to figure out some financial issues.  Like every romance story there is that point where secrets are revealed and people's feelings are hurt. Only it is mostly Delilah who is hurt, but at times you can see that it was a misunderstanding.

The first mistake Samson makes is running a background check on Delilah and than Delilah in return walking in the room when Samson is getting the low down about Delilah. Delilah is hurt that Samson couldn't just ask her about her background and than is hurt even worse when she finds out he did it because he thought she was after his money. The two eventually patch things up and than when Samson accidentally turns in front of Delilah she wants nothing to do with him again. This time she doesn't want to give him another chance because it is nothing lie in her eyes. Let's be real though, if you were a vampire, you wouldn't just come out and say you are a vampire after knowing someone for only a day; no matter how in love you might be. There is a nice twist at the end of the novel when it comes to who is the one who has been behind the fraud and trying to kill Delilah.

The blood-bonding concept was extremely interesting to me. I have never seen in any vampire novel or show before where a human can live forever and not age. By blood bonding with a vampire they will only age and die when their mate dies. They are still a normal human, they just have to drink from their vampire mate every now and then.  

Characters

Delilah: Delilah is our leading lady in this novel. I found myself relating to her in a few instances with some of her feelings which doesn't happen much when reading novels. When she found out that Samson did a background check on her; I could understand why she was upset. Instead of asking her directly about why she was out here and interested in him he did a background check on her instead. When someone doesn't trust you from the get go, how do you go on trusting them from that point.  I didn't find her annoying at all. When she found out he was a vampire and didn't want to stay with him anymore it makes sense. Although I would love to have a guy in my life that is like many men in novels I've read...It is that realistic. If what happened to her happened to me in real life I would want to leave him also. I enjoyed reading from her point of view.

Samson: Samson is our leading man in this story. He was my favorite point of view to read from in this novel. When reading romance novels I actually prefer a mans perspective because I love reading all the guys thoughts instead of the females.  Samson is our hot shot millionaire who is a vampire and has some issues. At first I thought he was going to be a jerk but he ended up being a gentlemen. Although he made some mistakes in Delilah's eyes they were understandable. I love how protective and in love Samson was with Delilah without him even realizing it.  

World

This story's setting takes place in San Francisco, California.  Which, for me was quite exciting as I just returned home from there after vacationing. It was an amazing city and it made it that much more exciting when diving into this book.  Most of the novel takes place in Samson's home. The two main characters spend a lot of their time there. From getting to know each other, having sex, researching, and him keeping her there to keep her safe.  

Would I recommend this?

If you love paranormal romance and erotica than I believe you will enjoy this book. It has a few moments where it can be a tad slow but besides that it is a quick fun stand alone read. The erotica was pretty tame as well compared to other erotica novels I have read before. Although you get your awesome sex scenes the language or wording isn't as graphic or descriptive. For example, The Black Dagger Brotherhood is an erotica series that is much more descriptive and graphic in the sex scenes. This story had the perfect amount.  

Continuing On...

After getting to know Amaury in the first novel I will probably be continuing on with the series. I really enjoyed him as a character and after seeing how hard he is set in his ways, I can't wait to read about the lucky lady who changes him. Sex is just sex to him and there are no emotions and he doesn't care about them what so ever. I won't go out of my way to read it right away but if I am not in the mood for anything I will pick this one up. I would read it in the same format as the first one which was on my kindle. 

Exciting news came out today allowing all of us fellow Sarah J. Maas fans to freak out about.  Entertainment Weekly released an article today saying that the acclaimed series A Court of Thorns and Roses will get six new additions and The Throne of Glass will get two new books.

The World of Throne of Glass

One of the two new books coming out with this series. According to Goodreads it is the ultimate guide to the Throne of Glass series and the world of Erilea, including an illustrated compendium of characters, settings, magic, gods, politics, creatures, and vocabulary, plus a timeline of events.

     Adaline Bowman, our leading lady played by Blake Lively gets into an accident and dies.  However, as a comet is passing by lightening strikes her car and it resuscitates her, causing her to never age since that moment.  Always on the run she never gets to settle down due to people acknowledging the fact that she never ages.  Thus she is never able to fall in love completely because she ends up having to leave or move away.  Now Adaline has met a man called Ellis Jones whom she's completely fallen for.  She tries to push him away but he has fallen in love with her also.  Adaline goes with Ellis to meet his family for the weekend when she is reunited with his father; whom she was in love with in her past.  When she runs off she gets in a car accident and dies again; only to be yet again resuscitated as the comet is passing by 50 years later and she comes back to life only to realize that she is now able to age.  She can now grow old with Ellis.  

     The characters in this movie had decent chemistry, although I never felt completely pulled in to their love story.  Although I enjoyed the characters I felt as if Ellis and Adaline had some what of an insta-love story or at least for Ellis that is. Adaline (Blake Lively) and William Jones (Harrison Ford) had the best chemistry.  One felt drawn into whatever conversations they were having.  The feeling of the long lost unrequited love was also there which could be deeply felt on William's end.  You could feel the loss in his tone of voice.  It slows down and becomes a bit deeper.  The history that they had together could be felt even though they hadn't seen each other in decades.    

       The movie starts off a bit slow.  It doesn't really begin to pick up until Adaline visits and William recognizes her.  From then on out the movie is great.  Filled with emotion and great scenes it does not disappoint.  However, until you get to that point, it seems slightly dull and slow.  If the scenes between Ellis and Adaline were more raw and intense the first half would have been much more enjoyable.  

     I would recommend this movie to those who like romance movies, such as Hallmark and so on; it is a cute watch but it isn't anything special.  

It's official. I'm diving in.

 I have been wanting to watch this show for some time now.  I watch a few booktubers (book reviewers on YouTube).  I watched Polandanabooks go to comic con and she was raving about how much she loved Orphan Black. So I decided to look up the show and I was instantly pulled in.  I couldn't wait to start the show because I love all things Sci-Fi.  However, I'm not starting it until now because I have a bad obsession with Netflix and all the shows on it.  There is so much to watch that I haven't gotten to it until now.  

Episode 1

Wow. My thoughts on the opening scene exactly. 

This show is AMAZING.  Exactly what I was looking for in a show.  A little more nudity than I was expecting but really good.  This show has you questing what it going on every single second.  Not to mention the episode is gripping and intense at all moments as well.  This show I can already tell knows exactly how to do a cliff hanger.  Ending the episode with having Sarah meet a clone and then for her to get snipped in the head and her speeding away! Wow. That GIF sums up this episode. I can't wait to continue you on and watch the next episode.  

Sarah is an enthralling character.  She sees a woman that looks exactly like herself die by jumping in front of a train.  Than she goes on to take over her identity only to figure out she is way in over her head. Tatiana is an excellent actress and does such a great job.  Than there is Sarah's friend who makes the show a little lighter and not so heavy.  He is her gay best friend and I thoroughly enjoy the character.

Episode 2

It just keeps getting better and better.  We find out there are even more clones out there and for some reason they all know about each other except for Sarah.  We also learn that someone out there is hunting down all the clones and killing them off.  This episode was a great episode for getting more answers but also more questions.  The acting skill alone from Tatiana makes this episode a master piece.  WIthout her this show would not be what it is.  I love how different all of the clones are.  We've just met Alison Hendrix who is a soccer mom, who couldn't be more different than Sarah.  Excited to dive into the next episode!

Episode 3

This show just keeps getting better and better. I am eating it all up and loving it.  Clones. More clones. Just when I thought there wasn't going to be anymore there is! I can't wait to find out some more answers.  Huge props to the screen writers of the show because each episode is just as fantastic. Most of the time it takes a few episodes to get a show rolling but not this one. Many shows also suffer from either having a strong episode arc and not seasonal or a strong season arc but not episodes. Take the shows The Flash and Arrow. Arrow tends to have better season arcs but some episodes are lacking. Whereas The Flash tends to have strong episodes but not that strong when it comes to a full season arc. Others may disagree but most shows tend to have some great episodes, a few okay ones, and a few that are just a mess. As of now this show has been all strong ones.  

Episode 4

Holy guacamole. Helena is one bat crazy lady. Once again phenomenal acting by Tatiana.  The fact that she can play that many drastically different characters and in one show is crazy!  She does it so well also. It's hard to believe that it is all coming from one actress. I am so happy to see Alison working together with Sarah and in a positive way. I am guessing that Sarah was the original clone. It is probably the reason why she can have children and the others can not.  

Episode 5

We're finally getting somewhere with Paul. I was wondering if he was just going to be a side piece but things are really picking up. All the men or significant others of the clones look really suspicious. Alison's husband looks really guilty and so does Paul. However, by the end of the episode we find out that maybe Paul doesn't really know whats going on. I really hope that Sarah and Paul end up working together and maybe become a couple; but, that may just be the fan girl in me who is always shipping characters together on TV shows.

Episode 6

My Paul and Sarah fire keeps getting fueled. Loved the moment between them in the room to the garage to the apartment at the end. Really hoping they end up as a couple.  I also had a feeling this new french girl in Cosima's life was bad news. I wonder where that one is going to go. I still can't believe how involved Paul is in this show. I wonder how big of a role he is going to play in this show.

Episode 7

YES! More intimate scenes between Sarah and Paul. Just what I was wanting and even better yet we got a kiss. Yes their characters have kissed before but not as Paul and Sarah but as Sarah imitating Beth. We also got numerous questions answered and I can't wait to find out more.

My thoughts:

First lets get some background. My mother, two sisters, and myself were traveling so we stopped at Barnes and Nobles to pick up an audio book to listen to.  We landed on Dark Places by Gillian Flynn.  It sounded interesting so we decided to give it a try.  We stopped listening pretty early on. It was extremely inappropriate and dark to listen to which I was not expecting. It would have been fine if I had listened to it on my own but the fact that I was with my mother and sisters made it uncomfortable.  

Once I found out it was being made into a movie and the amazing cast that was behind it I decided to give it a try.  Watching it on my own of course.  

Let us first start this out by saying this movie was much longer than it needed to be.  I feel like the movie dragged on for so much longer than it needed to.  We have great actors but the screen writers didn't give them that much to work with. The characters themselves aren't bad they were just lacking a lot of personality.  This awful traumatic event happened and the film fails to make you feel bad.  The movie makes the characters that were killed so annoying so you almost don't feel bad for them.    

The plot of this movie is all centered around who killed Libby's family.  Her brother Ben is in prison for the murders but from the beginning we learn that may be untrue.  The entire movie is dragged out until you finally learn at the end that the mother payed to have someone kill her and Ben's crazy ex-girlfriend killed her family members as well.  The buildup to find out was good but it ended up being extremely anti-climactic.  I actually wanted the movie to be creepier. From what I listened to from the book it was disturbing and I felt the movie lost some of that. Gone Girl was a disturbingly creepy book and movie with a mystery you were also trying to solve.  However, with that movie it kept you questioning and wondering the whole time what happened or what was going on.  When I walked away from seeing the movie in theaters, although I thought it was disturbing it was still an entertaining movie.  Exactly what this film was missing was what the other had.  

Would I recommend this to others?

Unless you read the book and enjoyed this than I wouldn't recommend this to others.  It is definitely for adults only as the subject is dark and not suitable for younger people.  Although, I believe even people who enjoyed the book wouldn't be happy with the movie either because the amount of depth it sorely lacks. With that said, not everyone enjoys the same films so if the trailer interests you than give the movie a try.  Even if you enjoy the mystery behind it you'll probably still admit it was longer than it needed to be.

Overall Thoughts:

Lover Eternal by J.R. Ward was an enchanting read. The idea to read this series started when I was watching Kassidy Voinche's book review of the first two novels in the Black Dagger Brotherhood Series; Dark Lover and Lover Eternal. After listening to the review I immediately looked up the series on Goodreads. The key words that I took from it were: vampires, hot, steamy, and sexy. This was just what I was looking for. I've never been a fan of contemporary romance due to for some reason not being able to get into it at all. Every time I've started a contemporary romance I have set in down after a few chapters from boredom. However, adult romance I have found to be extremely entertaining. I love the darker adult romances...and better yet a paranormal romance makes it that much more enjoyable for me. I don't think I'll grow out of the paranormal genre for a long time because I love romance with a twist. Normal romance bores me most of the time and I love a romance with a little something extra.

I read Dark Lover a few months ago and I loved it. I was in a book hangover and didn't know what was going to get me back into reading. Once I thought of the next book in the series I knew it was perfect. I listened to the first book as an audio book so I knew I wanted to experience the book the same way. As soon as I started the book I knew it was just what I needed. Of course right once I got the the part where you knew Mary and Rhage were going to meet I had to go to work.  At that point my feelings were:

I wanted to keep listening to this book so badly. Of course it had to be right before the two main characters were going to meet. Fortunately, as soon as I got home I kept listening and listening all the way to 2 in the morning. The next day I didn't have to work which turned out great because I was able to continue listening to the book. I listened to it all day while I got some laundry and dishes done. Then I got to the scenes in the park, which is the beginning of one of my favorite parts of the book, and I was like: All the way through Rhage and Mary going back to her house and him spending the night I loved. YES I enjoyed all scenes between the two; but, like all books there are always parts that you enjoy even more. Than I got to the part where Rhage turns in front of Mary. I was so excited when Mary finally saw Rhage in his cursed form, which is a dragon. I had been waiting for this moment for so long while listening to the audio book.  I knew it would happen at some point but I was so happy when it finally did.  I loved the way it happened also.

Mary runs away and Rhage comes to Bella's house to find her.  Only when Rhage goes to take Mary home there are lessers waiting for them. Rhage turns into the dragon to protect her and so on.  

Then I got to the end of the book. I was so bummed because I enjoyed the book so much I wanted more.  I wanted so much more of Rhage and Mary, but at the same time the book was wrapped up so nicely I was happy with the ending.  Although I had many emotions, the one that overpowered was:

Characters:

Mary: Our lead female of the novel I enjoyed. She is struggling with an illness and at the same time is swept away by an eternal vampire whom is beyond her wildest dreams. Although at times I found her to be slightly annoying I could understand why she acted the way she did. What would you do if you knew you weren't going to live much longer. I also enjoyed the journey of Mary's personal growth throughout the book. Mary at the begging is a much weaker character than she is towards the end in my opinion.

Rhage: Our lead male I loved. Rhage is also struggling with personal issues as is Mary. However, Rhage has a much more dangerous problem than Mary. Rhage has a curse that turns him into a dragon. I never found myself annoyed by the character at any points in the book. The character makes a lot of personal sacrifices for Mary because he loves her and wants to protect her. I love a character who has undying love towards another. Especially when it is coming from a man.

Bella: Mary's best friend and neighbor is a secondary character in this novel, who ends up becoming the lead of the third novel and has her own story line. I kept picturing Bella as Elena from The Vampire Diaries, at least the TV show. I would love to have a friend/neighbor like Bella. She is a fun character to get to know.

Would I recommend this book to others?

If you are an individual like myself who loves; paranormal, supernatural, at times erotic, adult romance reads than this is definitely the book for you.  This book is the second book in the series and as of now my favorite. I have read the first three books in the series and Rhage and Mary's love story is my personal favorite.  

Bared to You  by Sylvia Day was an amazing read.  It was hot and steamy and full of romance, which I'm a sucker for.  No I'm not one of those people that is reading this series because of all the sex in it,  I'm reading it because it's a real and dark relationship.  I love reading books about characters who deeply love each other on a level that is more than just him/her being a vampire with a hot bod who can protect you.  Although, I can't complain too much because I like most of those books as well.

When I first originally heard about this book/series I heard from a booktuber and other news sources that If you enjoyed Fifty Shades of Grey that you would enjoy these books and possibly like them even more than the other series.  I'm not sure If I could say I like the series more than Fifty Shades of Grey because I have only read the first book but what I can say is I like the first installment of this trilogy much more than the first installment of Fifty Shades of Grey.  Yes I understand that some of you may have hated that series but I enjoyed it because of the dark romance behind it, not because of all the descriptive XXX scenes.  So, when I heard this trilogy was compared to Fifty Shades of Grey but on a whole different level I knew I had to pick it up.

I started this book yesterday around 3 pm and read it for 11 hours straight all the way to 2 am.  Some of you may think I'm crazy for being able to sit that long and read but when you find yourself a great book, there's nothing else you want to do more than keep reading.  That's exactly how I felt with this book.  It consumed me and I couldn't put it down.  I wanted more and more so I kept on reading and reading.  Pretty soon I found myself finished with the book and wanting so desperately to read the next. On that note I was glad only a few weeks ago I had picked up the second book because it was on sale at Barnes and Nobles.  Now as I sit here writing this all I can think about is starting the next book in the series, Reflected in You. 

Eva:

Eva is a great female lead.  I loved her character in this book.  I enjoyed how the girl actually had some skeletons in her closet unlike many adult romances I have read which are only the guy having baggage.  Eva has gone through a lot which you find out in the book.  She is a dedicated and driven girl who is fresh out of college and in the working world.  She has just moved from San Diego, California to New York City.  She works for an Ad agency under a boss she adores.  

Gideon: 

Gideon is our male lead.  He is just what every woman loves.  A strong and attractive man, who also has a soft side.  Gideon owns the company that Eva works at called Crossfire.  Although he owns the company, he is not her boss.  Gideon also has a past that is dark and mysterious, which Eva starts to uncover as her relationship with Gideon grows.  Gideon is head over heals in love with Eva.  He makes a lot of mistakes along the way but never gives up on her, he is always trying to make it up to her...swoon.  

Cary:

Cary is Eva's gay best friend. He is a caring, lovable, and hilarious character that everyone who reads this book will grow to love.  Cary stands by Eva's side no matter what and is always there for her.  He is the best friend a girl could ask for.  Cary also has a past as well, just like the other characters in the series.  Cary actually met Eva at a therapy session.  

Relationship:

The relationships that are in this book are the romantic relationship of Eva and Gideon, along with the friendship between Eva and Cary.

I loved Cary and Eva's relationship.  There best friends and from the beginning you start to get to know them and love them.  I really enjoyed the friendship aspect that was in this book.  Most of the other romances I have read drop out the friendships that are in the book to focus on the main romantic relationship going on.  I appreciated the fact that the author continued to have scenes between Eva and Cary.

Than their is Eva and Gideon's relationship and can I say damn!  Their relationship is full of love, drama, lust and a lot of heart warming, sexy scenes. I liked the progression of the relationship.  When Eva was first approached by Gideon, although, she thought he was hot and dreamy she didn't jump into the deep end right away with Gideon.  She took her time getting to know him a little first.

World:

The world in this series is set in New York.  I really enjoyed the scene setting because I have never been there but have always wanted to.  I always like reading books where their destination is also one I would like to visit sometime in the future.

I have been in a real world mood for the books I have been reading recently which makes this book even better because it was a made up world.  It was real New York.

Story-line:

This was a face paced story and a very easy read.  From the start you are thrown head first into this story.  You aren't sitting around for 50 to 100 pages waiting for something to start or for the romance to start.  You start the book and BAM the first chapter you already get some romance with Eva and Gideon's first encounter.  This was a very easy read. It wasn't a complex story that had you trying to figure out what was going on and I loved that.  

Reflected in You:

This is the second installment in the Crossfire trilogy and I can't wait to start it. I'm sure I will be binge reading this book withing the next 24 hours and I couldn't be more excited.  

For Atancia is the second and final installment in the Durand Duology.  What a great and fun way to wrap up this duology!  I can say that it was the perfect amount of books.  If there were any more than two books the story may have dragged on a bit; however, just having the two books was the perfect amount.

Right after I finished Atancia the first installment I immediately wanted the second.  I couldn't get enough of the first and wanted to know more.  I wanted so bad that I asked the author to send me the second one also since she sent me the first.  When I received it that morning I opened it and starting reading. 

Although the author sent me this book it is an honest review.

I really enjoyed how different this book was compared to the first book Atancia.  There was a numerous amount of traveling in this book compared to the first one which I really enjoyed.  I like that I was traveling along with the characters.

Spoilers of the first book may be mentioned from now on.  You have been warned.

If you have read the first book than this will make sense to you but it will not spoil anything from the second book.

Atancia: 

I love how much stronger Atancia becomes in this second installment.  She becomes stronger physically and mentally.  She doesn't let so much drama get to her and is always on guard.  She also is starting to become stronger as a durand. I thoroughly enjoyed Atancia twice as much than in the first book.

Matthew:

I have nothing but great things to say about this guy.  In the first book he is introduced to you as being one of Ben's brothers, in the second book you start to find out more about his family history and that not everything is as it seems.  Matt is a sweet, gentle, and kind hearted guy that every girl grows to love.  Matt has loved Atancia from the moment he met her...adorable.  He also doesn't take advantage of Atancia and is always making sure that he is there for her in any way she needs.  

Dream Team:

In this book you are introduced to what I love to call the dream team.  It is a group of people that Atancia and Matt pick up along the way that help the two out and become their protection program. The dream team is assembled slowly but surely and you can't help but love of them but one. Ritter grew to be my favorite of the dream team.  He is a charismatic man who looks out for everyone, particularly Matt, which you learn why through out the book as well.

Relationship: 

The relationship that is brewing in this book is between Matt and Atancia, which I'm a huge fan of.  Go Team Matt! It doesn't happen right away like the romance in the first book so I appreciated that tremendously.  It gave the characters enough time to get to know each other and for you as the reader to get to know them.  

Throughout this book there are many other relationships as well with family members.  Atancia makes a bond with someone she has been longing to meet forever and Matt makes a bond with someone he never knew he would.  I really loved the Matt one because it was so sweet to see someone who wanted to watch over Matt. Someone who really cared for him.  

World:

I once again enjoyed the world.  I loved that i knew the places that were being talked about and that they weren't fictional.  Don't get me wrong, I do love a great fictional world, but this was refreshing for a change.  This book was cool in the way the characters were always on the move from once place to the next.  They barely sat still and if they did it was only for a day or two.  In some way I felt as if I was traveling to all this characters with them.

Story-line:

Once again i enjoyed the story line.  This book was much more fast paced than the first.  I enjoyed that because it never slowed down.  Something exciting was always happening which made me want to keep reading.  I will always believe the whole concept of a durand and how they are what they are is awesome.  

I also thought it was really neat that the author changed perspectives for the second book.  The second book is told from Matt's point of view instead of Antancia's, which we see in the first book.  The only time it switches back to Atancia telling the story is briefly towards the end of the book which makes sense if you have read it.  I'm actually glad she changed it back because you got to see what happened on Atancia's side along with Matt's.  And I don't mean the same scene being told from both perspectives but and event occurs where the two are split apart.  You then hear what happens on both sides.  

All in all this was a good conclusion and it was an easy and fun read.  It was just what I needed to pull me out of the book hangover I was in previously.

Congrats Wren you wrote a great book!  Now it just needs the attention it deserves.

Wow!  This book really impressed me!  Although I had talked to the author previously and she was sending me the second book in the series, this is an honest review!  

The book has an interesting description, especially the part of a love triangle with two brothers!  Umm hello, awesome! I read this book on my kindle, and although I normally don't enjoy them as much as the real books that certainly wasn't the case.  I have been finding myself to starting to be affected by the material of a book whether it's a kindle edition of soft cover/hard back.

This book brought emotions out of me that I haven't felt in any other book in a long time.  For the first time ever I cried while reading a book!  Yes I know, you're probably like how is this the first time I have cried while reading a book.  Well I will tell you why.  A certain event that happens in this book pulled at my heart strings because I have also had the same loss Atancia experiences in this book.  

I have to admit that at first it took me awhile to get into the book.  That doesn't mean that I didn't enjoy it, I just wasn't hooked/emotionally involved in a way that kept me from putting the book down.  However, after I got maybe 30% through the book I couldn't put it down.  A complete flip.  I then finished the book in the next day.  I would have stayed up that night to finish it but I had to work the next morning! Now I have finished it and can't wait to read the second!  No exaggeration in that!  Although I need to read other books.  I will probably binge on the second one so I know how the story ends!  Which brings me to a point of sadness in this only being a duology!  I want more!

Well now that you have heard me ramble a bit let me get on to what the book is actually about and break it down some more along with my thoughts of the different aspects of the book.

Atancia:
Atancia is our main character for this book.  She lives in Miami in the states with here Nana.  She is a teenager just like me and probably most of you!  She keeps herself busy with school work, attending school, and talking to friends.  Atancia is an interesting character in which I wouldn't say she is a strong character but when you read about all she goes though you may understand why.  My only problem with her in this book was I found her to be crying a lot which after awhile I was like really?  But on that note if what happened to her would happen to me, I would be the exact same way!  Which made her feel like a more realistic character in my eyes.

Ben:

Ben is the lead love interest in this book.  He is from Australia and meets Atancia when he is in Miami, Florida where she lives.  He is a genuine and sweet guy.  He is a guy all us girls love to swoon over.  Ben is also very mysterious.  I never had any problems with his character.

Relationship: 

I only had a slight issue with their relationship as in it felt very instantaneous.  I felt as soon as they saw each other it was an instant love connection, which is not how it happens in real life.  Regardless I found their relationship cute.

There are other relationships in this book that start to blossom towards the end of the book, which you can probably guess, which now finishing the book I am very excited for.  I said in my Goodreads update that I wouldn't know which guy to pick because of both being so amazing but after being shed some light on certain events at the end of the book I'm definitely on one team!

World:

I enjoyed the world that the book was set in.  It was modern day but the book changes from being based in Miami to Australia to another destination right at the end.  I loved that because you got to be in different places and not get bored in one place.

I have always wanted to visit Australia which maybe made me like it a tad more than other people but regardless I found it entertaining.  

Story-line:

I really enjoyed the story line.  The characters have a supernatural element to them that I have never read about before.  I found it very interesting and addicting.  I could never not soak in enough about how they are what they are.  I will always find that aspect of them amazing!  Too bad people can't do that in real life!

The story seemed to keep at a good pace.  It wasn't slow (except at the beginning a little) but it wasn't fast either.  It progressed at a nice stage.  I believe the second book will be even more fast which I'm excited for.

For Atancia:

For Atancia is the second installment in this duology which I can not express enough how badly I want to read this book!  The author did an amazing job this book and I can't believe it isn't more popular!  I will definitely binge on the second book!  

Oh My Goodness! Where do I begin! 

I have to admit I love a good book about vampires, especially when a romance is involved.  
So I decided that I would start this book tonight and read a little bit and then save the rest for the next day since I had to wake up early....
Obviously that wasn't the case! This book was so unbelievably amazing right from the start I couldn't stop reading. I had to finish it!
All I want to do is read the other books.
I love every part of this book and there wasn't one thing I didn't like.

Sofia Claremont:

Sofia is the main character in this series.  On her birthday she is kidnapped to an island.
An island that no one can find.  An island ruled by the most powerful coven of vampires. 
Sofia is the one selected out of hundreds of girls to join the harem of Derek Novak, the dark royal Prince.

Sofia is a strong character, who in the midst of not knowing if she will survive, watches out for the other girls of the harem.

Derek Novak:
Derek is the other main character of the series.  

umm hello gorgeous, romantic, and most amazing vampire man out there. I loved how passionate he felt about Sofia from the very beginning! 

I love their relationship in this book.  It isn't an insta-love which I enjoy because I find it not realistic when there is one in a story.  Derek falls for Sofia from the beginning but Sofia on the other hand is destined to escape.  This makes for a relationship that can grow overtime.  

Chapter set up:
I love when authors have every other chapter set up from the other characters point of view. I loves reading from both Sofia and Derek's perspective.

World:
I love the world that the author created. It is different and unique and one that I've never read before. There on an island where the sun is forbidden to shine.  I found it an amazing aspect of the book.  

Finally I loved how fast paced the book was and even though I wish the book was a little longer I believe it was the perfect length. 

It's the perfect book if you want a short and fast read.
I'm now hungry for more and can't wait to see what's in store for the characters in the next books!
